Alan Osmond -Why I Am A Mormon!

This is Alan Osmond.

We are living in a day when the Lord has said, "But with some I am not well pleased, for they will not open their mouth, but they hide the talent which I have given unto them, because of the fear of man. Wo unto such, for mine anger is kindled against them. D&C 60: 2

I have met many people around the world and have tried to share my testimony and truth (or light) with them by word, example, and by music. My brothers and I wrote the album called THE PLAN (The Plan of Life) as a way to share further "light" and knowledge of "Who Am I", "Why Am I Here", and "Where Am I Going"! (http://thefamily.com/thefamily.com/theplan/theplanlyrics.html)

Several have found the Truth (or added light) and have joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. (http://mormon.org) Yes, like us, as our song says, "Some Find,... Some will Never See,... Others throw it away! "It's Alright! Because "You have the power to choose"! It's your freedom and right to do so. (The reason for "The War In Heaven!)

I'd like to invite anyone to "open their mouth" and share their feelings of "Why I Am A Mormon"! (http://getnoi-Z.org)

Again, I know that all religions have some truth (or light), but if they seek "further light and knowledge" from the LDS Church, they will know that it is Jesus's Church and glow even brighter, with a knowledge that God speaks to us today as in olden times through a living Prophet!

Please Join me and share you feelings!
Love,
Alan Osmond, your "brother" in Christ.

  1. It is true, the Lord expects us to share our testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ. I testify that he is real, he atoned for the sins of all mankind. His message is of love, an overwhelming love for each and every one on the earth today, who has or ever will live. There is no sin, heartache or pain that his atoning blood cannot heal. It is up to us to accept it, that we might let go of our earthly woes and enjoy the happiness we will surely find as we come to him. Again...there is no sin that his atonement won't cover, wether a white lie or unspeakable sin--we are all lost without HIM.

  2. I do not get to attend church the way I would like to, or be involved in my church community the way I would like to. I am the mother of 4 mentally disabled children. And my husband, is a Vietnam Veteran who suffers from PTSD. Over the years, my children were disruptive in church. Comments were made....by people....not the church. Over the years comments were made about my husband, by people....not the church....
I know that these members, just like non-members, have opinions. I allowed them to drive me away.
Although I'm distanced from MY church, I know that it is true. I do my best to live by the values of MY church. I have been blessed because of it. Several times in my life, I was in need of life saving blessings. Without question those blessings were given and I survived. I have built a testimony of Priesthood Blessings.
I built a testimony of the Visiting Teaching Program while being a visiting teacher on a mail route. We never know how or whom we will touch, but we will touch them.
I have learned that as long as I live my beliefs, those same beliefs and values taught by MY church, I am found to be trustworthy and valued.
I have learned through Genealogical Research and teaching, both in and out of the church, the power of love and family that has come my way and that I have been able to impart to others.
I know that my church is true, I know that Heavenly Father guides me each day because of my unique circumstances. I know that I will be with Him again someday.
These are only some of the reasons "I AM A MORMON!"

  3. You can't imagine what my life was like before I found the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was only 16 when I was baptized. I had an alcoholic Dad and very unhappy home...the gospel brought me such peace and has given me a life I would never have known otherwise. I was married in The LDS Washington D.C. Temple 30 yrs. ago to a young man that had served a full time mission for the Church in South Africa...therefore our 4 daughters have had an authorized Priesthood holder in our home to give them blessings and to teach them all the things I missed out on...I got to serve in Young Women's with my daughters all of the years they were in there (both Ward & Stake) and I feel like I grew up in the gospel with them...it was great! Even my Dad said the gospel was the best thing that ever happened to me! He passed away from Alcoholism at age 49 but his Temple work has long since been done! He loved the missionaries and wish he had met them when he was young. He hated who he had become. I know he has accepted the gospel and is probably a great teacher on the other side! The Spirit had touched him and he knew there was something more to the Gospel than he had ever felt anywhere else but he felt so unworthy...That is the beauty of the gospel...no matter how unworthy you may be...The Savior has taken care of it...
I have such a testimony of this great work and of how much our Heavenly Father loves us. He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die for us, so that we can return and live with them, if we will but accept that wonderful gift and repent and live so that we show our love for Him as well. Loving, forgiving and serving as we are called to serve. We one day will be able to hear those loving words..."Well done thou good and faithful servent...come unto My arms to stay." That's why..."I AM A MORMON"

  5. I wish you much success! I was a big fan of your Dad and his brother's (especially Donny) when I was growing up and it was due to them and most especially your Grandma, that I became familiar with the gospel and joined the Church when I was in High School. I married a returned missionary in the Temple, we have four daughters...3 now also married in the Temple and the last is at BYU-Idaho. I have truly been blessed by having known your family. Know that they are very special people! I'm sure you do! I just saw your site on your Dad's and thought I would listen to your music..when I did, I wanted to let you know that I liked it and wish you well!
